Employees who wish to claim their PF contributions after resignation or on retirement were expected to affix a Re 1 Revenue Stamp in the respective PF Forms like Form 19 and Form 10C. In recent years, it is observed that in many states, Revenue Stamps sold at Post Offices are no longer available. This caused hardship to employees, especially when their employer insisted on affixing Revenue Stamp on PF forms. Thankfully, now PF Department has recognized this impracticality and dispensed of the procedure of affixing revenue stamps for claims processed through NEFT vide Notification dated August 18, 2015, and again on March 7, 2017.
